AssayCore Micro

AssayCore Micro is purpose-built for clinical and environmental microbiology laboratories. The system manages the full culture workflow from sample registration to final identification and antibiotic susceptibility reporting. Full EUCAST v16.0 and CLSI M100 (Ed35, 2025) breakpoint tables enable automated S/I/R interpretation. Expert rules engine detects ESBL, AmpC, CRE/Carbapenemase, MRSA, VRE, and intrinsic resistance phenotypes. Colony counter ML integration, incubation scheduling, and FHIR R4 antibiogram export complete the solution.

Pain Points We Solve

Concrete laboratory pain — quantified — and how AssayCore Micro addresses each.

AST plates manually interpreted; EUCAST v16.0 changes break legacy templates

12-25 min/plate, error rate 4-7% on legacy LIS

EUCAST v16.0 + CLSI M100-S34 breakpoint engine auto-interprets MIC and disk diffusion in <100 ms

ESBL / MRSA / VRE phenotypes missed without expert rules

Up to 8% intrinsic-resistance reporting errors per CDC review

EUCAST Expert Rules engine applies 60+ rules incl. methicillin-R → all β-lactams = R

Colony counting by eye is slow and observer-biased

30-90 s/plate, inter-observer CV 12-18%

ML colony counter (YOLOv8-based) reads plate photos in 2-3 s with confidence score

Cumulative antibiograms (CLSI M39) are quarterly Excel exercises

8-20 hr/quarter per microbiologist

Auto-generated CLSI M39 antibiogram with infection-control trend overlay

Environmental monitoring lots tracked outside LIMS

Audit findings on EU GMP Annex 1 reviews

Built-in environmental monitoring module mapped to ISO 14698 + EU GMP Annex 1 (2022)

TVC / Salmonella / Legionella ISO methods recalculated manually

5-10 min/result × hundreds per day

ISO 4833 / 6579 / 11731 calculators baked into result-entry forms
